Hello friends,

Some of you may have noticed a situation where you have a Scanned / Photographed document containing few text in it and you have to copy those text for editing or for other purposes. If the texts are few lines or few words, you can type it easily... But what to do where the size is big, i mean more line of text(s)

How you will do it ?? Let's find the solution for it. :)

Well, there are many third party Softwares available in the market to do that job, that works on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system. But those are not free actually, so you have to spend some money for it.

OCR (optical character recognition) is a method to extract text from images. It can recognize handwritten, printed or typewritten text and can produce them into editable word or text format. This OCR software also preserves the formatting of the original scanned document into converted document. They are not 100% accurate and the converted document still requires some editing.

So for copying the text from the image all you need is Microsoft Office OneNote and rest it will take care of itself.

Steps:
1.    Run the Microsoft Office OneNote.
2.    Just copy / Drag the image (any format whether jpg, bmp, png etc) and paste it in the OneNote. Don’t “open with” the image as it will give an error.
3.    Now select the entire image and right click on the page.
4.    Click the option “Copy Text From Picture”.
5.    Just paste the contents back on any Word Document.

so NOW, The text has been extracted from Office OneNote and can be printed neatly. If you are worried about the formatting of the pasted content, you could select “Keep Source formatting” in the paste option.
Thats All !! Enjoy... :)
